Sacral Chakra  



  • The second of the seven chakras is the Sacral Chakra.
  • The Color representing this chakra is orange. 
  • It is located in the pelvic bowl, between your pelvic bone and belly button.
  • Referred to by some as the “sex chakra.”
  • Sacral chakra governs the womb, genitals, kidney, bladder. 
  • The sound of the sacral chakra is “VA.” 
    • Can be used for toning and sound healing
  • The Sanskrit name for the sacral chakra is Svadhisthana, meaning “where your being is established.”

The Sacral Chakra is associated with several characteristics including pleasure, sexuality, creativity and joy.

Unbalanced Qualities: 

When the sacral chakra is out of balance, it can lead to feelings of fear, overwhelm, depression, emotional instability (highs and lows), loss of creativity, and addictive behaviors. You may also feel stuck or unmotivated. Imbalance can show up in many ways over ones lifetime, in various degrees.
